A mace is a typically blunt one-handed instrument wielded primarily by priests in the middle ages. This was because they were forbidden to spill blood. The spiked form are generally called morning stars.

A one handed blunt weapon would be called a mace. It would also imbalance some of the attacks.

Reduce the damage dealt, keep the same speed, possibly even increase the speed ever so slightly, 2he weapons like a katana (it's a two handed weapon, not one. Holding it in one hand looks silly) and a true battle axe would probably have to decrease the speed and increase damage.

It is possible to create these types of weapons to work with the existing skill set without unbalancing things. It just hasn't been done yet, if at all.

Or implement all new skillset for one handed hammers/two handed axes/two handed swords. They would still use their matching attribute, but would have weapon dependant skills.

This seems similar to my request for "baggy ninja gear" (don't worry, I'm over it...) back in the "Campfire" Assassin section.... I would've been happy with a variation of the Canthan Guard (don't tell me its design wasn't derived from samurai!) Armor type for warriors... I mean, I was sooo excited about the possibility of warrior/assassin armor when I saw the first Zaishen/Canthan Guards in Tomb of Primevil Kings, but alas... They're nothing like em'....

kinda annoyed that they didnt include more asian themed armour, but to be honest if there was samurai armour, i wouldnt want it. Reason? it may look cool, but every tom dick and harry out there would have it. not cool.

Assassins are not ninjas - they are assassins. End of story. They may share similiarities, but there are many differences as well. They also share similarities with many other assassins in other cultures.

Get over it, japan fanboys. Go back to Naruto.

Posers? Fanboys?

All this name calling is so immature.

So are we wrong for having a certain taste that you don't? Like I said earlier, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but damn, don't go hating on everyone who likes things that you don't.

I agree, and I don't even have an assasin yet

But you always imagine them going behind a person to run a long blade across the persons neck, as an alternative to backstabbing

you can't deny the fact that every time something asian comes out in a game, it brings out all the anime fangirls (cute little minipets! *squeal!*) and japanese fanboys (omgzorz, i want a katana and samurai armor and ninjas like on Ninja Scroll LOLLERSKATEZ).

I mean, FFS, I bought a katana for my warrior -- it looks nice, it's a nice looking sword -- but you don't see me going all apeshit over it, do you?

LOL here we go again. Try telling that to Anet. They're the ones who put the Naruto headband, the ninja starts on the gloves, belt, etc on the character.... Assassins may not be traditional "ninjas", but they sure are designed with "ninja" in mind.... Same thing can be said here: Canthan Guards are WARRIORS not Samurai... yet their armor is designed with samurai in mind... Tyrian warriors are WARRIORS not knights, yet they have platemail/Knights armor.... Trying to use the "Warriors/Assassins are not samurai/ninja" argument as a reason against having armor options based on those themes is total BS.

Use a different excuse that makes sense, japan haters... Go back to wearing your Exotic "BDSM" armor.

you guys seem to be going "apeshit" over people who like samurai's and ninjas. they are called enthusiasts. they have an interest that is different from yours. get over it.

personally, i don't even like anime. but i appreciate the culture, history, and art of japan. i'm also really interested in the roman/greek/persian/nordic/celtic cultures. If A.Net decided to do a chapter based on those cultures and their was something that i felt they left out. I would say something about it also.

don't go labeling every1 who appreciates japanese culture anime fanboys. actually i'm not too fond of modern japanese culture. what's up with all that dance dance revolution craze and stuff?

yeah Anet *is* pretty asian fanboyish. I wish they'd cut it out.

My biggest gripe is actually the minipets. Talk about a jarring blow to one's suspension of disbelief...

cuz you're cool.

Who gives a flying rat's ass whether or not those people go apeshit over things like that... That's their taste. ALOT of people find Asian themes on games appealling, specifically Japanese because of Anime. I mean, Factions IS ASIAN THEMED correct? Are you annoyed by that? I hope not, cuz if so, it must get quite annoying for you in Factions, seeing as every other assassin player in the game basically has a ninja/japanese name.... That sucks. Maybe you should go back to playing Prophecies....
